Joining the team in the Cardiothoracic Surgical Unit at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, you will assist the Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery in developing a strategic plan for the Unit. Facilitating a team approach to service delivery, you will provide clear, consistent polices/protocols for medical staff, medical students and other assigned staff of the Cardiothoracic Surgical Unit, in regards to standards of clinical practice and administrative procedures. You will also contribute to the evaluation of clinical processes and service outcomes by clinical audits, quality assurance programs and clinical performance indicators, identifying possible areas for improvement and guiding the change process. You will hold a specialist medical qualification in Cardiothoracic Surgery, and be registrable with the Medical Board of South Australia. With proven experience at a senior level of professional practice, you will be confident in teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will demonstrate clinical excellence in the speciality of Cardiothoracic Surgery, and bring the ability to work in a team and multidisciplinary environment. Along with high level skills in problem solving and decision making, you will be both positive and adaptable to change.
