The Workforce Services team in the Department for Health and Wellbeing are embarking on an exciting journey to develop and implement various initiatives to become a more contemporary and strategic workforce function for the Department and across SA Health.

We are looking for skilled professionals wanting to make an impact and help shape the future public health workforce in South Australia, who are excited by the opportunity to deliver high quality services and be part of a reinvigorated Workforce Services team.

The Role:

The Senior Consultant WHS Programs contributes to the development and maintenance of an effective WHSIM Management System, ensuring legislative compliance and deliverable sustainability that will support best practice and continual improvement. 

The role encompasses identification of priorities in promoting, influencing and implementing new WHS programs and initiatives across SA Health, focussing on strategy development, risk management, due diligence and governance, and promoting safety culture.  Key to the success in this role key is the ability to take complex information and concepts and deliver to a wide range of audience.  

You will have demonstrated knowledge of Work Health & Safety principles and the ability to apply legislation, regulations, standards, policies and practices.  If you have proven experience in developing and implementing WHS management and compliance frameworks and a strong commitment to identify, respond and adapt to continuous change in systems and processes in a complex organisation, then this may be the role for you.
