You will be responsible to the Manager, Work Health & Safety and Injury Management for the provision of early intervention, best practice rehabilitation and return to work services to regional local health networks (LHNs), which comply with relevant legislation, performance standards and accreditation standards. You will plan, implement and coordinate effective rehabilitation and return to work services to ensure best levels of recovery and minimal expenditure. Maintaining a portfolio of return to work and job-seeking cases, you will work in close partnership with Claims Consultants, managers, treatment providers and other People & Culture members to achieve proactive intervention after work-related injury.
You will contribute to an equitable and cost effective injury management service to achieve and maintain reduction in the human and financial impact of workers compensation claims within regional LHNs. You will provide a consultancy and advisory service to senior managers, employees, other People & Culture members and external stakeholders to ensure key stakeholders are aware of, and participate in, best practice injury management systems. You will contribute to planning, policy and procedure development and review under the direction of the Manager, Work Health & Safety and Injury Management, and be involved with continuous quality activities. To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience in providing rehabilitation and return to work services for a large self-insurer. This will include a proven record in communicating and negotiating with key stakeholders to achieve the most effective outcomes. Along with your skills in developing, implementing and monitoring injury management programs, processes and procedures, you will bring the ability to analyse and resolve challenges.
