AV is seeking an experienced Senior Lead, Networks and Telephony who will be critical to leading and managing all operational aspects of the Network and Telephony function by providing comprehensive maintenance and support capabilities across all network and telephony services.  

Having recently rebranded from ICT to Digital Technology and Services (DTS) and launching our Digital Workplace Strategy, this position, in collaboration with all members within the division will provide continuous improvement across various initiatives enhancing technology capabilities to champion AV's Modern Digital Workplace strategy. 

As key member of the DTS Division, this is a full time, fixed term (until 30 Nov 2025) position based at Blackburn North with hybrid working arrangements available. 

About the role

Leading and managing the Network & Telephony function, and reporting to the Senior Manager, Networks and Communication, the Senior Lead Network & telephony is responsible for: 

  • Management of Network and Telephony Service Operations teams and Managed Services
  • Supporting the Network and Telephony Service Transition to production, Service Design, and Service Strategy
  • Supporting Program/Project Managers to implement, upgrade and maintain networks and telephony platforms in line with the network and cloud strategies
  • Presenting operational reporting and analysis for DTS management 

About you

To be considered for this position you will possess: 

  • A postgraduate degree or relevant industry certification with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and high-level relevant experience (preferably in an Information Technology related discipline)
  • Extensive experience leading Network and Telephony teams
  • Experience within a large complex environment managing DTS Networks and Telecommunications vendors
  • Experience with Azure and/or experience with other cloud platforms like AWS or OCI
  • Experience with Wide Area Networks (Router Management, Telecoms Provider Links, NBN), Local Area Network (Switch Management), Network Security Services (Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Network Admission Control and Internet Proxy), Telephony and Video Conferencing and Mobile Account Management
  • Outstanding demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
