We are seeking a Project Specialist to provide leadership for our Equality & Workplace Reform Department. This is a Full Time, fixed-term (until September 2025) position currently based in Doncaster with WFH/Hybrid options available. 

About the role 

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, Workplace Reform, responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: 

  • Apply best practice techniques, tools, methodologies, and processes for the end-to-end management of reform package design and excitation, including ongoing milestone/deliverable tracking, budgeting, quality assurance, and communication to ensure projects are delivered according to plan
  • Support program managers and project leads in the coordinated delivery of program outcomes for and with advisory groups, ensuring the effective operations of advisory groups
  • Work across several timeframes, identifying program and project risks, dependencies and issues including day-to-day contractor oversight, account management and timely reporting
  • Prepare and maintain high quality and timely documentation, and the provision of clear and succinct verbal and written advice to senior managers and executive to support cohesive reform delivery 

About you 

To be considered for this position you will possess: 

  • Completion of a relevant post graduate degree or relevant industry certification
  • Project management qualifications (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing complex projects with multiple initiatives and broad change agenda across business processes, systems, digital transformation, and cultural shift
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies used in the public sector and awareness of issues relating to a government environment
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in planning and delivering a change management program with a complex organisational environment and to tight timeframes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Highly developed communication skills both written and verbal with ability to prepare high quality reports, papers, and presentations for a variety of audiences

This position is graded at AV5 under the Ambulance Victoria (Management and Administrative Staff Enterprise Agreement 2021.
