To assist in this endeavour we are seeking to appoint an Associate Professor/Director International Strategy to lead and manage the strategic direction of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery in international relationship, partnership and development activities. You will take a lead role in advising key stakeholders within the University and the faculty on the development and delivery of international strategic plans and the achievement of related performance indicators.

Part of your role will be responsibility for delivering the faculty’s objectives in relation to long-term contractual arrangements with the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) and the expansion of coursework and research training programs in Singapore.  You will provide high level strategic advice in relation to international operations through infrastructure and resource monitoring; compliance; logistic and administrative management; and the development, implementation and monitoring of internal systems, processes and policies for both onshore and offshore international students, and student cohorts based in Singapore.

 

We are looking for a dedicated and globally focussed academic with an understanding of international student education in an academic environment and/or experience in international nursing or midwifery education. You will have an ability to engage in culturally and professionally respectful business relationships with international partners and possess strategic thinking and effective education and research leadership skills in an international context.

The role is based at the University campus in Sydney however there is a requirement to undertake regular international travel and to work for extended periods outside Australia.

TERM

The role of Director International Strategy is for a fixed term of up to three years and is renewable.  At the conclusion of the term, you will revert to a continuing substantive position in the faculty as Associate Professor of Nursing.
