About the opportunity

We are currently seeking an outstanding Research and Data Analyst to support the research, analysis and reporting function of the University’s Human Resources department. This is a new role that reports into the Senior Manager for HR Research, Analysis & Reporting, Dr Linda Peach. 

The ideal candidate will be motivated and clear-thinking, and enthusiastic about data and analysis and well-versed in quantitative statistical methods such as regression models and MANOVA. This role would best suit someone with a psychology or social sciences degree and a few technical add-ons, like SQL and R coding experience. If you have a higher degree, even better!

The University has a vast store of knowledge and data and the HR Research, Analysis and Reporting team uses it to model, report and predict our people’s characteristics and success enablers. We are investing in leading edge technology and this person will be working on some of the most innovative and forward-thinking data projects in the University.

The information we collect about our 12,000-strong workforce supports and enables a wide range of business outcomes across the University. This person will be a key member of the team that does this work. Aside from the necessary technical skills, the main pre-requisite for success in this job is that you love and understand research, data, and the whole process of creating meaningful outputs for a diverse range of people.
