About the opportunity
The Research Officer provides technical knowledge and expertise to support program implementation and evaluation research surrounding Connect Dementia Research-Australia (CDR-A), a dementia research participation and public engagement platform. This includes actively contributing to research activities: designing research protocols; engaging stakeholders; collecting and recording research data; contributing to reporting requirements, analysis and key findings, as well as publications; and undertaking other aspects of research project evaluation as they arise.

Sydney Nursing School’s main academic activities are teaching, research and scholarship, together with practice and policy development and engagement with all health professions. We also provide advice and consultancy across many key areas of nursing and midwifery. The focus of our scholarship is to improve health outcomes, the quality of care, and the health related experience of people at times of vulnerability.
One of the Sydney Nursing School’s Research streams is Chronic disease and Ageing, and Professor Yun-Hee Jeon, the Susan and Isaac Wakil Chair of Healthy Ageing, takes leadership in this stream. The incumbent will work with Professor Yun-Hee Jeon largely on Connect Dementia Research–Australia (CDR-A), funded through the Department of Health. CDR-A is a research participation and engagement service, a “one stop shop” to connect individuals, both with and without dementia, with researchers delivering studies into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care including aged care in dementia. CDR-A will be implemented throughout Australia with the aim to improve the care and support received by people with dementia. As part of the project team, the Research Officer will communicate with researchers from various disciplines and organisations to facilitate engagement and conduct program implementation and evaluation research.
