The faculty’s Discipline of Medical Radiation Sciences (MRS) is renowned for its world-leading research in medical image optimisation and perception, breast cancer imaging, motion correction and advanced molecular imaging technologies. The discipline attracts high-calibre students, researchers and academics, being awarded over $10m in research funding over the last 5 years. While our researchers within the discipline work closely the highest ranked international institutions, they also have been independently acknowledged as being the world’s leading MRS scientists and work closely with the highest ranked international institutions.

As part of this growth we are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Associate Professor (Level D) or Professor (Level E) who holds a vision for the future of MRS in a changing health climate as well as an understanding of changes in the health sector and its impact around the discipline.

About you

The successful applicant will lead research programs in medical optimisation and/or perception within radiological imaging. In addition, the successful applicant will enjoy educational responsibility for coordinating units of study, and lead and contribute to curriculum design and development, and the opportunity to attract, supervise and support postgraduate research students. The successful applicant will have exciting access to university-wide imaging facilities, Sydney Imaging Hub, and other collaborative opportunities in engineering, IT and the Sydney Policy Lab

Term and remuneration

The successful applicant will be offered a full-time continuing position, subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation and confirmation period for new appointees, with an attractive remuneration package. Membership of a University approved superannuation scheme is a condition of employment for new appointees.
