About the opportunity  

We are looking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Level A) to take on the responsibilities of managing project planning, coordination, and dissemination activities for a program of work funded by Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) at The Matilda Centre. Specifically, the role will involve co-ordination of specified research studies examining implementation processes associated with a suite of offender behaviour change interventions delivered by CSNSW (the EQUIPS programs). This includes contributing to study design, conducting sophisticated data analysis of large datasets and preparation of publications and presentations.

About you

• PhD in psychology, behavioural or social sciences, or a related field
• excellent understanding of quantitative research methodology and experience in data management and high level statistical analysis
• experience conducting research in the fields of mental health, substance use treatment, or forensic psychology/offender treatment
• proficiency carrying out literature reviews using academic databases
• capacity to contribute to research publications and reports as evidenced by co-authored peer reviewed (or equivalent) publications
• ability to present research findings as evidenced by presentations at conferences or other venues
• dedication to subject confidentiality and research ethics, particularly with respect to identified subject data of a sensitive nature

The Matilda Centre provides a world-first synergy of leading prevention, early intervention and treatment research and translation programs in substance use and mental disorders. The Matilda Centre undertakes research and brings together researchers currently working across disorder silos (addiction, depression, suicide, anxiety, exercise physiology, dietetics, chronic disease) to share skills, synergise data, and harness new technologies to develop and trial innovative prevention and early intervention programs for substance use and mental disorders.
