In the Team Leader - HR Operations role, you will be developing and leading a small team to support the delivery of key service outcomes including the end to end employee life cycle for the Junior Doctors (Junior Medical Officers - JMOs) at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. You will have a positive and professional approach with the ability to engage and leverage strong relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Utilising continuous improvement practices, you will strive to develop a reputation as a team of trusted subject matter experts.

This position is a permanent full time Health Manager Level 1 ($72,591.00 to $97,649.00 p.a. plus superannuation).

What you'll be doing

The Team Leader role is a team leadership role, working within the JMO Services branch of the Workforce Operations Teams.

The role works in close collaboration with the Chief Resident Medical Officer (CRMO), Network JMO Manager and Deputy Director of Medical Administration (Medical) Co-Leads to coordinate the JMO workforce services and activities for the site.

The Team Leader is also responsible for leading the site based JMO Workforce Team to ensure that the JMO activities and workforce services are conducted and provided in an efficient, accurate and customer centric manner.

Key results areas include:

  • Leadership and management of a small team
  • JMO workforce allocation
  • JMO pay, conditions and rostering
  • JMO and other key stakeholder relationship management and customer service
  • JMO recruitment and employee life cycle activities
  • Reporting and analysis
  • Working collaboratively and positively with various stakeholders and colleagues

Note: Junior Medical Officers (JMOs) include Residents, Registrars (Trainees), Provisional Fellows, Career Medical Officers, Honorary Junior Medical Officers, Clinical Placements and Observers.
