Salary: $99,199 - $107,370 p.a. plus 9.5% superannuation

About the role
The Australian Partnership for Preparedness Research on Infectious Disease Emergencies (APPRISE) is seeking a committed, highly motivated and innovative Health Informatics Specialist. Based at the Doherty Institute, the role will support collaborative research activities across a nationally distributed team of researchers and data holders working to improve the evidence base for responding to infectious disease emergencies. The role will require scoping of information needs across the consortium, plus developing advice on appropriate software, policy, workflows and other change management required to maximise the use and reuse of existing and emerging research datasets.

About you
To be successful in applying for this role, you will be a dedicated team player and have postgraduate qualifications in a related discipline. We are looking for someone with demonstrated experience in research data management and eResearch infrastructures. We are looking for someone who can think and act strategically and communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders.

About the Doherty Institute
The Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity is joint venture between The University of Melbourne and The Royal Melbourne Hospital, combining research, teaching, public health and reference laboratory services, diagnostic services and clinical care in infectious diseases and immunity.
