Facilities Manager


A dynamic and experienced Facilities Manager is sought to join the team of the Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research located in Liverpool. The Ingham Institute is a not-for-profit organisation that undertakes medical research that specifically addresses, and can be applied to, the needs of the local population and wider Australia.  The Institute formed a unique collaboration with the South Western Sydney Local Health District, Western Sydney University and the University of NSW.

The Institute has experienced exponential growth since its inception and currently houses approximately 25 research groups, with close to 300 health and medical researchers working in cancer, clinical sciences, mental health, injury and rehabilitation, and community and population health . The research facilities consist of the main research building with approximately 7,000 square metres of wet and dry laboratory space, biological resources, liquid nitrogen storage, meeting rooms and administration. The Ingham Institute is home to Australian MRI-Linac housed in the Research Bunker and to Clinical Skills and Simulation centre both built on the Liverpool Hospital site.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with background in Science or Engineering and experience in laboratory and/or facility management. The job requires frequent interactions with doctors and professors, researchers, students, volunteers and general public where well developed customer service skills are a must.
