Population and Community Health (PaCH) is part of South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
PaCH provides community health services that give care to individuals, families and carers, as well as population health services that focus on the whole community or key groups within the community.
PaCH's services are provided at the District's hospitals, community-based facilities including child and family health centres, community health centres and specialist clinics. We work with other service providers across South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, including hospitals and mental health services.

The Role
The Biopreparedness Epidemiologist is a non-medical epidemiology position to provide expert advice and services on all facets of surveillance, preparedness and response to infectious disease incidents and emergencies, such as pandemic influenza or other emergent, naturally occurring or bioterrorism related infectious disease. This position has a specific focus on immunisation and is responsible for supporting the different teams within the Public Health Unit (PHU) with outbreak investigations, the NSW Human Seaports and Airports Biosecurity Program, and providing epidemiological support to the health protection and research activities of the PHU.
