About the Role

The Manager Workforce Governance & Systems will provide strong leadership and management to the Workforce Governance & Systems team while overseeing the management and governance of workforce systems and functions including rostering, recruitment and employee demographics to support the efficient and effective operation of South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) to achieve business and service objectives.

Position is located at Randwick on the Randwick Hospitals Campus.

Duties

  • Manage and provide effective leadership to the Workforce Governance & Systems Team
  • Provide high level advice, coaching and guidance to Managers/Executive in relation to workforce systems governance and best practice
  • Plan, develop and execute the implementation of district wide programs to lead the benefits realisation program of works for workforce systems
  • Drive, monitor and analyse benefits related activities in relation to workforce systems
  • Develop, maintain and identify strategic relationships by liaising, consulting and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Evaluate existing practices and operational procedures by applying practical and innovative risk management approach

Selection Criteria:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience in change management, recruitment and/or rostering or project management
  2. Demonstrated strong leadership skills to enhance staff performance, influence workplace culture, and lead change
  3. Extensive knowledge of contemporary issues in management including financial, human resource and organisational management
  4. Highly developed verbal and written communication, interpersonal and influencing skills including ability to analyse data, prepare and present reports
  5. Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to provide authoritative advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation
  6. Proven capacity to contribute to and promote strategic initiatives, including the ability to plan, manage change, improve performance and project manage
  7. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, and other key stakeholders
  8. Demonstrated experience coaching and advising people leaders/managers whilst fostering a performance based and customer focused work culture
