What you'll be doing

Carrying out all aspects of radiography for the BreastScreen NSW North Coast service, specifically performing high quality mammographic imaging for the purpose of detecting breast cancer, and working in assessment clinics.   
  1. Registered with appropriate body (AHPRA), hold a current NSW Radiation License (type 114 or equivalent), Current CCPM certificate & Current NSW driver’s license.
  2. Applicants must be female (exemption is claimed under Section 31 (2)(h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act
  3. Demonstrable experience in all aspects of mammography, mammographic & technical quality control procedures, imaging services, comprehensive understanding (willing to learn) of BreastScreen Information System (BIS) and PACS and assessment procedures.
  4. Knowledge of to the BreastScreen Australia Program and an understanding of the NAS
  5. Demonstrated ability to work both in an unsupervised capacity and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  6. Demonstrated good negotiation, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  7. The applicant will be required to meet current Health Employees Medical Radiation Scientists (State) Award conditions for Level 3 Diagnostic Radiographer if employed as a radiographer
  8. Willingness to work flexible hours (including early mornings, evenings, Saturdays, overtime) and travel to other sites as required (fixed or mobile) including ability to work away from home.
