Unit Manager Social Support

Moreland City Council is located in the inner northern suburbs of Melbourne and is one of the most populous and culturally diverse municipalities. Located in Coburg, Moreland City Council is just 8km from the CBD and offers excellent public transport and cycling access for employees.

You will be a key player in leading, developing and delivering Council’s community services focused on innovation and excellence. This role will have ultimate responsibility for leading and managing the areas of Community Transport, Food Services, Planned Activity Groups, and programs for seniors. 

You will work collaboratively within the leadership team of the Aged and Community Support Branch to drive change and deliver quality services to the community. 

To be successful in this role you will be a progressive leader with a collaborative approach and a strong background in Social Support services and/or related fields. 

You will have outstanding community engagement and relationship building credentials and a track record in providing high quality strategic advice. You will have substantial experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in complex organisations. Strong business and financial acumen, along with extensive experience in program planning and evaluation, business planning and staff development is required.
