ABOUT MORELAND

The City of Moreland is changing as we align our organisation to meet the needs of a fast growing city which is home to more than 170,000 residents who are culturally and linguistically diverse, speaking more than 140 different languages.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Home Support Unit of council is seeking highly motivated qualified and experienced people to provide home and community-based support to eligible people within our diverse community. Home Support Workers provide a vital service that can help people stay in their own home and continue to live their lives the way they choose to. 

You will support older people and people with disabilities (children and adults) across a range of support services including personal care support, respite support (small group and individual), assistance with basis household tasks and shopping.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE

  • Minimum qualification of Certificate III in Individual Support (formally HACC or Aged Care), or equivalent
  • Current Level II First Aid or willingness to obtain
  • A Working with Children’s Check
  • Reasonable level of fitness
  • Victorian Drivers licence and reliable roadworthy motor vehicle
  • A community language in Greek, Italian or Arabic is also highly desirable
  • All applicants must be experienced and available to work a Monday - Friday 7.00AM-4.00PM.
