ABOUT THE ROLEThis is an exciting opportunity in the Aged and Community Support Branch, to influence and create change to ensure services meet the changing needs of the community. This position will provide you with an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of people in Moreland requiring support by leading the team to develop and implement innovative approaches in the areas of Community Transport, Meal Production and Delivery, Senior Citizens, Social Support initiatives, and other health and well-being initiatives for Seniors. The Unit Manager Social Support is an integral position within the leadership team of the Aged and Community Support Branch. We are seeking a dynamic candidate with exemplary leadership skills, a focus on innovation and meeting the needs of the community, and ability to provide strategic direction to the team.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS ROLEA tertiary qualification in a health, welfare, management or related field. Postgraduate qualifications in management/leadership would be advantageous
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and on an operational level and integrate with branch strategies and individual client outcomes
Seeks creative and innovative approaches to service delivery
Utilises community engagement to build sustainable solutions
Demonstrated ability to proactively lead and inspire staff to work collaboratively
