The City of Stonnington and City of Port Phillip has an exciting internal opportunity for a Youth Engagement Partnership Project Officer to join our Youth and Middle Years Services team. This is a temporary part time position at 4 days per week, for approximately 6 months, beginning in the New Year. Employment beyond the 30th of June 2019 is subject to funding being secured.
As the Youth Engagement Partnership Project Officer you will identify, develop and implement strategies and policies that will enhance the status and wellbeing of young people in the City of Stonnington and City of Port Phillip. This role will provide an interface and central connection point between education providers, youth services, young people and the services supporting engagement in education, training and employment.
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Social Science, Youth Work or a similar field, experience working in a community development framework and a strong commitment to young people with an awareness of social and political issues affecting them and their families. Additionally you will need strong communication, presentation and reporting skills to assist with the informing of and development of evidence based responses with key stakeholders for young people who are at risk or have disengaged from education, employment or training.
