The City of Stonnington has an exciting full time opportunity for a Recreation Policy and Facilities Officer to join our Leisure and Wellbeing Department on a 12 month maternity leave cover contract.
As part of our Recreation Services unit, you’ll facilitate the community’s access to quality facilities through the effective management of facilities and open spaces and the development of policies that address the sport and recreation needs of the community, which will in turn, will create valuable opportunities for local residents to participate in a broad range of sport and recreation activities.
In this vital position, we’re looking for someone with experience in the sport and recreation field as well as:
- Experience in assisting local community groups with implementing projects, programs and facility improvements
- Experience in reviewing and developing policies
- A history of improving strategies and practices, ensuring collaborative solutions
- Well-developed strategies for gaining engagement from a variety of stakeholders
