What you'll be doing

Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD) has adopted four fundamental values (CORE) which will form the foundation of our organisation: Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Reporting to the Workforce Support Manager the position is responsible for providing a high quality, customer focused workforce service to the relevant site or service with a particular emphasis on recruitment and selection, on-boarding, contract management, personnel administration (including records management) and the provision of advice on HR related policy, awards, agreements, practice and legislation. The position will report to the Workforce Support Manager.
 
This is a temporary full time leave relief position until 06 January 2019, with the possibility of extension.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in Human Resource functions in a large and complex organisation.
  2. Demonstrated understanding & experience of HR/Personnel principles, interpretation of industrial awards, agreements and relevant legislative requirements.
  3. Strong interpersonal skills and customer service approach.
  4. Demonstrated initiative, accuracy, attention to detail and problem solving ability.
  5. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to work autonomously combined with demonstrated leadership skills.
  7. Excellent organisational skills including the ability to priorities and meet deadlines.
  8. Ability to travel in accordance with position responsibilities
