We are searching for the right candidates to fill these positions on a Permanent Part-Time (32 hours per week) basis in a dynamic team

Position Overview

Family Planning Australia is seeking experienced Senior Research and Evaluation Officer will be involved in coordinating Family Planning Australia research and evaluation activities, to increase the body of knowledge in reproductive and sexual health and to inform policies and planning for reproductive and sexual health initiatives.

  • Base Full Time Salary: $95,027

Selection Criteria
Essential

  • Post-graduate qualification in public health or relevant field
  • Demonstrated experience in study design and the development of research proposals and ethics applications in Australia 
  • Proven experience in successful research grant submissions
  • Proven experience in the design and implementation of qualitative and/or quantitative research, monitoring and evaluation projects
  • Record of relevant research articles in peer review journals
  • Experience in the use of standard data analysis packages such as NVIVO, SPSS, SAS or similar
  • Ability to work in a task-oriented team and with technical and managerial personnel
  • Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong analystical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and oral and written communication skills

Desirable

  • Proven experience in meta-analysis and systematic review
  • Experience in study design and the development of research proposals and ethics applications in low- and middle-income countries
  • Nursing degree with current AHPRA registration as a registered nurse

  • Must have Australian working rights
  • A Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check are required prior to commencement in this role
