Programs Assistant - Healthy Communities

This position is responsible for supporting the delivery of inclusive and accessible sport and recreation programs, and for initiatives which build capacity and enhance community life for young people in the City.

Key requirements of the position are to:

  • Assist in the delivery of priority grants, programs and initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles including working collaboratively with stakeholders;
  • Assist in the delivery of projects which support training, employment and experiences which encourage young people to remain in the City including events and initiatives outlined in the City’s Youth Strategic Action Plan; and
  • Research and develop community partnerships, and administer applications for the City’s various youth and sports programs.

The successful candidate will be an energetic individual with a go-getter attitude, and have qualifications relevant to youth, sports, recreation, and/or community engagement or a similar discipline.

Most importantly the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will possess a keen interest in working with the dynamic City Living team to attract and retain people in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
