Research Nurse - HealthLinks

Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory, to inpatient and home and community based services.

  • Monday - Friday role (8.30 - 16.30)
  • Based across Alfred Health - Caulfield Hosiptal, Sandringham Hospital and The Alfred Hospital
  • Fixed term - 2 year contract
  • Part-time - 38 hours per fortnight
  • Registered Nurse Grade 3B

Expressions of interest are invited, from nurses who have experience in conducting research projects in the healthcare setting. The HealthLinks Research Nurse will be responsible for coordinating the implementing patient surveys to evaluate a funding initiative called HealthLinks Chronic Care. HealthLinks Chronic Care is an innovative funding model, designed to improve care integration for people who have complex health conditions and are at risk of frequent and potentially avoidable hospital attendence. Alfred Health is one of a number of organizations participating in the trial; all trial sites must contribute to the research which is being coordinated by the Department of Health and Human Services and CSIRO.

About you -

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in research coordination, excellent organizational skills, an acute sense of attention to detail, sound knowledge of privacy and confidentiality issues pertaining to hospital records, patient information, and research processes, and excellent communication skills also. Accurate record keeping, good time-management, and the ability to work both in a team and independently are essential.

The position will work from Caulfield hospital but be required to travel across sites also. The HealthLinks Research Nurse works within the HARP team, in a supportive team-oriented environment.
