Head of Vascular Surgery 

Alfred Health is the main provider of health services to people in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne and is also a major provider of specialist services to people across Victoria. The Health Service operates three outstanding facilities: The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham.

Vascular Surgery provides services relating to blood vessels, including a full range of venous (vein) and arterial (artery) surgery, assisting in renal access surgery and peritoneal dialysis, diagnostic angiography, endovascular procedures and treatment for blockages following bypass graft surgery.

Applications are invited for the position of Head of Vascular Surgery. Reporting to the Program Director of Surgery, the Head of Vascular Surgery will oversee excellent clinical care, whilst supporting Alfred Health's teaching, research and clinical governance programs. The successful applicant will provide excellent clinical expertise and service in Vascular Surgery, provide supervision to junior medical and other relevant staff within the Unit.

Applicants must be legally qualified practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Vascular Surgery is required as well as meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Vascular Surgery.
