The Role
The Living Guidelines Methodologist/Statistician is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of methods and processes for high-quality living systematic reviews and guidelines.

They will play a critical role in the Australian Living Evidence Consortium, led by Cochrane Australia. This collaboration is developing a new approach to health system performance underpinned by living systematic reviews and living guideline recommendations. The initial members of the Consortium work in the areas of stroke, diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease and musculoskeletal health.
You will be a highly-skilled systematic review and guideline development methodologist/statistician with a proven ability to innovate, developing new approaches, methods and processes, utilising new statistical techniques, technologies and your strong international profile and networks.

Skills

  • Demonstrable and extensive methodological expertise in evidence synthesis and GRADE guideline methods
  • Experience coordinating and supervising systematic review production and evidence-based guideline development, including the development and use of state-of-the-art methods and tools to support these processes, e.g. GRADE, systematic review authoring tools, guideline development tools
  • Ability to solve problems using discretion, innovation and the exercise of high level diagnostic skills within areas of functional responsibility or professional expertise
  • Ability to develop strategic plans with key internal and external stakeholders, and deliver and monitor the execution of these plans
  • Ability to innovate within a rapidly changing external environment, using partnerships and internal resources effectively to deliver new approaches with clear stakeholder value
