What you'll be doing

The Health Research Information Manger will support the advancement of accurate and comprehensive data information for research and assist with implementing guidance for data management processes within the NSLHD Research Office to conform to stakeholders increasing metrics requirements and develop the essential tools to position NSLHD as a leader in metrics and data provision.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: 

  • Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant health discipline and/or relevant work experience applicable to the position.
  • Demonstrated experience in Data Management, Database Management and accurate and timely collection, management and reporting of data.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the role of health related data and data related systems within the LHD, including data challenges, constraints and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated planning, time management and organisational skills particularly in the area of managing multiple tasks and multidisciplinary issues to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to collate complex information and develop reports, undertake consultations, negotiate challenges and effectively communicate to a wide range of health service professionals
  • Demonstrated highly competent computer skills utilising varied and appropriate software including but not limited to the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint).
