The Opportunity

The Woolworths Supermarkets division has over 135,000 team members across 1,000 supermarkets. The Safety, Health and Wellbeing team partners with operational leaders to provide and maintain a safe working and shopping environment for our team members, customers, visitors and contractors. 

The purpose of this role is to develop and lead the health and wellbeing programs, initiatives and overall approach across the Supermarkets business. The major focus is continued improvements to how psychosocial risks are managed and controlled and the provision of mental health support and resources for teams across the Supermarkets business.  

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with the Wellbeing Chapter, lead the Supermarkets business to a risk based approach to managing known health and wellbeing risk factors for team
  • Identify and develop the appropriate tools, resources and supporting infrastructure to provide the appropriate support and assistance for team members.
  • Identify and deliver a wide range of health and wellbeing support, including but not limited to psychological and physical health and wellbeing 
  • Provide ongoing operational support to the team in the delivery and execution of safety, health and wellbeing requirements across the business.
  • Develop and deliver professional reviews and reports on safety, health and wellbeing matters

What you’ll bring:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant field, preferably a psychology related field
  • 8 to 10 years plus experience in a similar leadership position having worked in a large complex organisation
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing health and wellbeing programs, initiatives and plans, specifically mental health
  • Proven experience in large organisational advisory across relevant channels
