What you'll be doing

The headspace Disaster Resilience Program (DRP) is funded by the HNECC Primary Health Network. The Program has been established to build capacity and coping mechanisms amongst young people, families and communities who are significantly impacted by bushfire, natural disaster and/or acute traumatic events in the community.

The Program Lead – DRP role sits within the headspace Gosford and Lake Haven service and works in an integrated manner with all platform services.
As part of the headspace management team, The Program Lead – DRP will work in close collaboration with the headspace Manager, and is responsible for the design, implementation, leadership and service delivery of this innovative Program.
The Program Lead - DRP will oversee the delivery of disaster resilience education for young people and their families, carers and teachers across the Central Coast LGA; and facilitate increased knowledge and capacity building of all headspace Gosford and Lake Haven platform practitioners, to support them to work affectively with young people experiencing mental health problems associated with a natural disaster or trauma event.

The role is responsible for collection of data, record keeping and report writing to ensure quality and compliance, and will be required to rotate across the headspace Gosford and Lake Haven site.
