Operating within the Mary MacKillop Institute for Health Research, the NHMRC CRE to Reduce Inequality in Heart Disease has four research streams that reflect the challenge of ensuring ‘equal hearts for all’ in these disadvantaged groups. The research aims to reduce this inequality by focusing on the full scope of heart disease, from primary prevention to chronic disease management of those already affected.

As the Research Assistant, you will:

  • coordinate collaborative industry partnered research projects
  • engage in research activities, including those with senior colleagues
  • prepare research proposal submissions.

You will need to demonstrate:

  • completion of a relevant health related degree; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in cardiovascular related health research
  • experience in using multi and univariate statistical analysis
  • evidence of ability to show commitment with integrity to the Catholic Identity, Mission and ethos of the University
  • demonstrated high level written and oral skills.

Total remuneration valued to $72,000 - $78,021 pa, including salary component $65,753 - $71,252 pa (HEW Level 5), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
