 4 year full or part time (0.8 – 1.0 FTE) contract based in Darwin

The Northern Australia Tropical Disease Collaborative Research Program (NATCRP) is a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) funded program established to strengthen partnerships with key national research institutions in NT, QLD, WA, NSW, VIC and SA. The aim of NATCRP is to undertake an integrated research agenda that will help close the gap in Indigenous health disadvantage, protect the North from emerging infectious threats and engage regional neighbours. Menzies will establish a collaborative hub that will incorporate Indigenous engagement and knowledge translation, facilitating collaborative projects with southern partners.

Menzies is seeking to employ a Program Manager to coordinate NATCRP activities and to liaise with national and international collaborators. The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and previous experience in high level program management.

  • High level oral and written communications skills, with the ability to prepare high quality reports and legal contracts.
  • The ability to identify, build and maintain formal and informal networks with internal and external stakeholders that are important to the achievement of Hot Norths research objectives.

  • High level computing skills.

  • Demonstrated qualities in integrity, ability to work cross-culturally, resourcefulness, initiative in the delivery of service to stakeholders and a positive attitude.
