About the Role

This position works closely with the Director of Research, research staff, and chief investigators to undertake the clinical trial: The Prostate Cancer Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) Study.

You will be trained by the urologist investigator in photodynamic therapy, which requires localised laser therapy.

Participants in the study will have 3x2 weekly treatment sessions.

You will be responsible for managing the treatment of 75 clinical trial patients, assist in project management, and the coordination of enrolments and assessments.

You will be responsible for the facilitation of best practice clinical care and ensuring a positive patient experience in a dynamic team environment.

This is a fixed term / project position requiring approx. 20 hours per week Monday to Wednesday for up to 12 months

About You

QUALIFICATIONS

• Tertiary degree in Nursing and current AHPRA registration
• Applicants must possess a valid work visa

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

• Have contemporary clinical knowledge with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in surgical nursing care
• Experience in Urology is highly desirable
• Experience in Oncology would be advantageous
• Experience in research, data management is desirable. On the job training will be undertaken with   experienced staff.
• Be highly accountable and demonstrate a supportive and engaging style
• Be passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes
