The Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute is dedicated to finding cures for cardiovascular disease through world class medical research. Established in 1994, it is the legacy of legendary heart transplant surgeon Victor Chang. Renowned for the quality of its breakthroughs, the Victor Chang Institute is working to discover better ways to diagnose, treat and ultimately prevent the onset of heart disease.

The role

The Donor Care Coordinator is a vital part of our Fund Development team. In this role you will:

• Provide exceptional customer service to donors and the public by responding daily to donor phone calls, emails, letters and voice messages
• Utilise our database to update donor details or cancel or delay regular giving payments
• Minimise attrition by using objection handling techniques
• Assist the Face to Face and Telemarketing Manager in maintaining a weekly regular giving cancellation sheet for key suppliers
• Assist with the fulfilment and lodgement of retention based, multi channelled direct marketing for key fundraising programs
• Implement donor care strategies such as welcome and thank you calls, happy birthday messages etc to deepen donor engagement and improve retention rates across several fundraising channels including direct mail, face to face fundraising and telemarketing
• Assist with taking donations and general administrative support

We would like to meet you if you are:

• A friendly person who enjoys working in a team but can also work independently
• Experienced in using Raiser’s Edge or a similar database
• Someone who has worked in a call centre as a telefundraiser/telemarketer
• An experienced customer service representative
• An excellent communicator who has an excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An organised administrator who is good at managing more than one task at the same time and has strong attention to detail
• Eager to learn and develop your skills
