Gambling and Harm Minimisation Project Officer

Temporary Part Time (0.6) till November 2020
$96,576 pa plus superannuation (pro rata)

Reporting to the Community Health Wellbeing and Safety Team Leader the key responsibilities include:

  • Implement and evaluate a range of social policies relating to health and wellbeing with a focus on gambling and harm minimisation measures
  • Work in partnership to implement the actions of the Wyndham Gambling Harm Minimisation Action Plan and to identify emerging themes and issues and develop collaborative responses
  • Liaise and consult using community development principles and practise to engage with local residents, organisations and service providers to address current and emerging issues impacting gambling and harm minimisation

The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of the current environment influencing gambling and harm minimisation principles and social determinants-based approaches to community wellbeing, preferably in a local government setting.  You will be experienced in community consultation and able to build and maintain strong and effective partnerships with a diverse range of community groups and stakeholders.
