Practice Leader

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join its Court Support Services (CSS) team at this exciting time of expansion of its Assessment and Referral Court (ARC) List program. The ARC List is a specialist court developed to meet the needs of accused persons who have a mental illness and/or cognitive impairment.

In this newly created Practice Leader role, you will have responsibility for the development and implementation of practice improvement and professional development processes within the ARC List program. Working closely with stakeholders across a number of court locations, you will ensure that the program is aligned with current, evidence-based approaches to meeting the needs of people with multiple and complex needs.

As the ARC List Practice Leader, you will also develop clinical guidelines and operational policies that will ensure consistency of service delivery across a number of teams and court locations.

We encourage you to apply if you possess the following:

  • Relevant qualifications in social work, psychology or equivalent discipline
  • Extensive experience in a practice leadership or management role within the mental health or disability service sectors
  • Detailed knowledge of practice models and frameworks for working with clients with multiple and complex needs
  • Strong team player with effective communication skills and a flexible approach
