The Centre for Behavioural Research in Cancer (CBRC) is part of the Behavioural Science Division and conducts high quality applied behavioural research to inform and influence cancer prevention policies, programs and services, in order to reduce the impact of cancer on the Victorian community. In addition to behavioural research in the areas of tobacco control, skin cancer prevention, obesity prevention, alcohol harm prevention, CBRC also undertakes evaluation of cancer prevention and screening programs and services housed within Cancer Council Victoria and led by the Prevention Division.
About your opportunity
We are seeking an Evaluation Coordinator to join the Centre for Behavioural Research in Cancer. Reporting to the Research and Evaluation Manager your role is to:

Work closely with the Screening, Early Detection and Immunisation (SEDI) Program on their initiatives to address cancer screening participation and early detection.

Design and implement the evaluation of selected SEDI programs, including large scale communication strategies and community grant activities

Build relationships with key partners and funders, to monitor projects, learnings and outcomes

Contribute to analysis, feedback and reporting to support ongoing program development
All about you
We are looking for someone with:
-
A degree in social sciences, psychology, social work, public health, community development or a related discipline AND demonstrated experience in program evaluation.

Sound understanding of community development, and evaluation approaches appropriate for use in the community sector

Experience in action research and in developing evaluation plans and program logic models
-
Outstanding communication and relationship management skills
