The Discipline of Physiotherapy in the Graduate School of Health is currently seeking to make an appointment at Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor level advance its proposed offering of a Masters course in Physiotherapy in 2017.

It provides innovative, practice-based education and high impact research in a range of disciplines. The School is committed to producing career-ready graduates and it prides itself on providing first class graduate entry masters programs that produce graduates that are work ready and eligible for registration as health professionals.

As a school, we are at an exciting stage of our growth and are looking to appoint a talented and motivated individual at Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor Level to join our Physiotherapy discipline. 

Reporting to Professor Lynley Bradnam, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of musculoskeletal and either pain management or sports therapy subjects in the proposed Master of Physiotherapy program. 

With smaller class numbers, a new building, state of the art facilities and emphasis on technology, the school prides itself on providing a collegiate teaching and research environment for all staff. You will receive support and time for your research and the opportunity to shape the future of the Physiotherapy discipline in the Graduate School of Health. 

To be successful in securing the role you will have:

  • A PhD in Physiotherapy
  • Post graduate qualifications in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
  • Knowledge of either contemporary pain management or sports therapy to compliment your musculoskeletal expertise
  • Extensive teaching experience at a university and experience with alternative/flexible teaching methods and a variety of assessment processes.
  • Academic leadership in leading subjects or programs/courses of study.
  • Extensive experience in scholarly research and demonstrated capacity to obtain research grants and other support for research projects.
  • Demonstrated capability to mentor and support others in the research process.
  • An emerging (level C) or established (level D) track record in refereed publications or conference presentations in a field related to musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

 

Remuneration

Salary Range: $117,906 to $151,341 pa (Level C/D)

The university offers 17%superannuation. Employee benefits include flexible work practices, child care centres, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.

This appointment will be on a continuing full-time basis.
