Nicotinic receptor structure and function probed with conotoxins
An exciting opportunity is available for a PhD candidate to undertake a project on Nicotinic receptor structure and function probed with conotoxins. This research is part of a 5-year, ARC project and is supervised by Professor David J. Adams, IHMRI Executive Director.
Nicotinic receptors are intrinsic membrane proteins that play a role in communication in excitable cells, particularly in the nervous system. The primary goals of this ARC Discovery project are:

Value of Scholarship: The value of the scholarship is $28,000 per annum.
Duration of Scholarship: The scholarship is for 3.5 years. Any additional time taken to complete the PhD will not be paid.
Commencement Date: You must be able to commence by 31 March, 2017.
