HSE Advisor

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HSE Advisor to join our Retail team located in our South Perth office.

The Role is full time, reporting to the Compliance & Training Manager, and will play an integral part in monitoring and improving the health, safety and environmental aspects within the Company’s retail operations.  This role will assist in managing Return to Work and Injury Management programs in the Retail business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with Management, Operations, Administration and Frontline teams.
  • Operational safety, health, environment policies, procedures and systems
  • Continuous improvement cycle
  • Risk management
  • Deliver effective HSE programs
  • Incident investigations
  • Ensure compliance with the Safety Management System
  • Consult with site management and advise on HSE matters
  • Ensure effective communication of HSE
  • Drive behaviours and safety culture
  • Analyse statistics, prepare and present reports

Knowledge & Experience

A strong understanding of the following legislations:

  • Harmonised WHS
  • Western Australian OHS
  • Relevant compensation and privacy legislation

Required:

  • A Certificate IV in Workplace, Health and Safety
  • Industry associated RTW training
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role

Highly desired qualifications:

  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
