About this role

As part of a small but dynamic and results-driven team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering effective internal communications across the NSW Health system. You will collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, project delivery teams and partner with senior stakeholders to ensure complex projects and initiatives are translated into highly engaging content to reach the target audience.

You will be a flexible team player with strong writing skills and extensive experience in corporate communication and stakeholder engagement as well as working with digital and design teams to deliver contemporary and high quality communication.

Where you'll be working

Here at the NSW Ministry of Health, the Strategic Communications and Engagement Branch is having an extraordinary year with an unprecedented demand for exceptional communications services. We are looking for a professional Senior Corporate Communications Officer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment to join our amazing team. The role is within the Internal Communication and Engagement team, which covers internal communications, events and stakeholder engagement. The team works within a fast-paced, collaborative environment and sees the rapid development of integrated solutions to quickly respond to the needs of our internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

You will work closely with the Director to refresh existing communication policies and establish new engagement and communication frameworks to facilitate successful internal communication plans and strategies. Your strong writing skills and your ability to source good news stories will drive engaging content for newsletters, print, digital and social content.

This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future direction of our unit and will play a crucial role in setting the strategic directions for the corporate communications To be successful in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate exceptional delivery skills and experience in measuring, monitoring and evaluating the success of communication initiatives.

  2. Describe a communication or engagement project that you have managed that involved extensive liaison, coordination and negotiation with staff and/or external stakeholders. Outline how you approached any challenges, what you did to overcome them, and the results delivered.
