We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Research Assistant to apply their subject matter expertise and advanced knowledge of mixed methods health or social science research to support research projects in the Mental Health Services Research stream of Queensland Centre for Mental Health Research (QCMHR) at Wacol. The Mental Health Services Research stream conducts applied research to understand the demand for and use of mental health services, evidence-based mental health service models, and how these findings can be used to improve mental health systems. The team works closely with health system partners such as governments, Primary Health Networks, and community organisations to provide evidence and advice to support integrated regional and national mental health service planning.
The Senior Research Assistant role will support implementation of the National Mental Health Service Planning Framework (NMHSPF) needs-based planning tool (https://www.aihw.gov.au/nmhspf) and development of the LIFEWAYS national service planning model for suicide prevention. Key tasks will include reviewing academic and grey literature, developing data and evidence summaries, coordinating workshops and surveys of end users, analysing focus group transcripts on mental health and suicide prevention service needs, and contributing to reports and academic publications.
This is a full-time (100%), fixed-term position for 12 months. At HEW level 6, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $89,861 - $96,402, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $105,137 - $112,790 annually As these roles are covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases in line with the Enterprise Agreement.
