Your Role

As the CMO, provide medical supervision and clinical support for Consultants and Visiting Medical Officers. This requires close liaisons with VMOs and multidisciplinary teams to ensure changes in a patient’s condition are communicated to VMOs and that patients receive timely, appropriate medical care. This may include assisting in surgeries in urgent cases. You will be familiar with Deteriorating Patient protocols with sound knowledge of hospital clinical governance.

With more than 100 beds and specialist support for a range of surgical, rehabilitation and geriatric medicine, the site includes units for coronary care, intensive care, paediatrics services and mental health. It is a well-respected hospital by the community, known for its comprehensive and genuine care for patients.

Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration
• Medical Indemnity Insurance to work in a private hospital
• Previous clinical experience required for a CMO level 2+
• ALS 2 and paediatric resuscitation skills including cannulation, arterial and venous punctures, fluid resuscitation.
• Comprehensive understanding of Deteriorating Patient protocol and Hospital Clinical Governance
• Surgical Assistant skills for emergencies
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Availability to work on a rotating roster and on-call.
