About the role:      

We are seeking a skilled Anaesthetic Nurse or Anaesthetic Technician to join a highly specialised and fast moving environment.
  
Reporting to the Director of Nursing, you will be accountable for supporting the Anaesthetist who provides anaesthetic services to patients undertaking procedures relating to infertility.

Our initial Theatre days are scheduled for Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Additional hours may be available as the unit becomes more established and our procedure bookings increase. 

You will be responsible for:

• Providing patients with exceptional care and support
• Practices in compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHSS) requirements
• Providing consistent nursing assistance for patients undergoing treatment within the unit in accordance with Monash IVF policies and protocols
• Communicating with the multidisciplinary teams effectively to identify patient’s individual problems and needs and to implement care
• Assisting the Director of Nursing to develop and implement processes, which allow for documentation and evaluation of the standards of service provided
• Maintaining professional relationships with clinical staff, including the IVF Nursing department
• Demonstrating commitment towards the Monash IVF Mission and Principles

To be considered for this role, it is essential you will have:

• Current AHPRA Registration and/or relevant qualifications
• High level of Perioperative clinical knowledge and skills, or relevant clinical skills and a passion to learn.
• Minimum of 3 years of achievement in a specialist nursing role 

Ideally you will bring:

• Knowledge of healthcare quality systems, accreditation processes and regulation
• Application of clinical knowledge and skilled at providing primary nursing care to patients
• General knowledge of IVF treatment and procedures (ART), or willing to learn this
• A team player attitude
• Proven time management skills
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• High level of initiative
• Highly organised and ability to meet set objectives and timeframes
