Senior Health and Safety Systems Adviser 

About the opportunity

The Senior Health & Safety Systems Adviser will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of best practice health & safety management systems. They will be responsible for the establishment and ongoing management of the health and safety management system for Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA) staff, contractors and community interactions. They will work with and across all functional disciplines at SRLA and the wider Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA) & Department of Transport (DoT) government health & safety network, with a particularly close working relationship across North East Link Project (NELP) and Major Roads Projects Victoria (MRPV). Working with minimal supervision, this position requires demonstrated capability in delivering health & safety management, assurance and compliance activities. You will also manage a small systems team. Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders are vital.  

Reporting to the Safety Manager, Programs, this role will lead the development and the maintenance of the SRLA Health and Safety Management System and the associated tools that enables project delivery and unrivalled health and safety performance.
