About the Role

This role will be instrumental in supporting the executive leadership team with assisting with our people strategy and ensuring Sundale is well known as an employer of choice.  We are currently looking for a dynamic leader to join our People & Culture team, where they will be leading the team to effectively provide employee support to multiple sites across the Sunshine Coast region. This role will develop and manage a team providing HR, recruitment and payroll services for the organisation. Our People Support team is the first point of contact in the intake, resolution or escalation of needs related to the employee experience.  

We are looking for someone who has

  • A leadership style that brings about significant positive change in workplace culture, getting the best out of others and aligns with Sundale’s vision and values
  • Be a trusted advisor to the business by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with the executive, management and employees and knowing the business inside and out
  • Excellent generalist HR skills & knowledge associated with a multi-disciplined workforce; including recruitment and retention, employee relations, change management, remuneration and benefits, reward and recognition and negotiation
  • Extensive IR and HR Management experience in a health/aged care sector
  • Knowledge of legislation covering employment issues and the ability to apply that knowledge; thorough understanding of Awards and EBA's, ideally related to the Aged Care Industry
  • Contribute to the business unit strategy by helping the leadership team identify, prioritise and build organisational behaviours, structures and processes
  • Manage a budget which will forecast Sundale’s future needs and recommending actions to deliver budget targets
  • Support line managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline and workforce planning requirements, in line with the function/business strategy

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in HR, IR or an equivalent discipline
