Human Resources Project Officer

 

Red Lily Health is looking for a dynamic, contemporary, authoritative specialist to take on this important project role. As an emerging Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service, we are working hard to set up systems that will support the provision of health services across the West Arnhem region of the NT. We want you to help us with our Human Resource systems. They key outputs fall in two categories:

  • Policies and Procedures. Review and develop each in order to assure that Red Lily Health operates at a level of best practice in Human Resources.
  • System Development. Contribute to the design process of our business systems to ensure HR function is efficient and effective.

Please review position description below :

Review/Upgrade Red Lily’s HR processes and procedures including

  1. Providing sound advice and assisting the Organisation with compliance in human resources policy, training, procedures and processes
  2. Development of HR procedure manual.
  3. Ensure that staff recruitment, retention, and induction policies and procedures support best practice
  4. Ensure Red Lily will have capacity to complete annual performance and job description reviews
  5. Review employee contracts to ensure compliance with relevant regulation and guidance.
  6. Ensure staff exit procedures support best practice
  7. Ensure effective filing systems and registers (as part of the development of business systems.
  8. Provide leadership, guidance, advice and assistance to senior managers on challenging human resources and industrial relations issues and processes.

Selection Criteria:

Essential

  1. Relevant Bachelors Degree
  2. Demonstrated sound knowledge of human resources practices and industrial relations legislation.
  3. Highly developed administration and organisational skills; proven ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
  4. Proven ability to work and communicate with people from different backgrounds and in a multicultural environment, especially an Indigenous community environment.
  5. Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  6. Experience with record management systems and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  7. Demonstrated computer literacy and experience working with M365 Office software such as Work, Outlook and Excel.
  8. Current NT driver’s licence and a capacity to travel within the Northern Territory including light aircraft (if necessary).
  9. Have Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) or be able to obtain an Ochre Card within 6 weeks of commencing with Red Lily.
