Senior Building Surveyor - 2 Positions

Status: Permanent Full-Time (35 hours per week)
Salary: $111,764 - $122,959 per annum + 11% superannuation + leaseback vehicle/sustainability allowance

Are you experienced in building surveying? Are you seeking a new opportunity to apply your building related knowledge whilst working in a strong team?

We currently have openings for two skilled and highly motivated Senior Building Surveyor to join our Compliance team within our Health, Building and Regulatory Services department. These are permanent opportunities that require enthusiastic team members to effectively implement Council’s building regulation and compliance programs and services.

  • Demonstrated technical skills and knowledge of building and planning provisions
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and manage a caseload of regulatory matters
  • Demonstrated report writing skills
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Class C motor vehicle licence

Things you will do

  • Undertake detailed investigations relating to unauthorised and non-compliant development
  • Assess existing and proposed buildings and development for compliance with building and planning regulations
  • Assess various types of applications and certificates
  • Implement and manage a range of regulatory functions and enforcement actions
