About the Royal Flying Doctor Service Central Operations (RFDS SA/NT)
We are leaders in providing aeromedical and primary health care services to people in remote, rural and regional locations across South Australia and the Northern Territory.

RFDS operates four Remote Community Health Clinics in South Australia at Andamooka, Innamincka, Marla and Marree, providing these communities with 24/7 care.
About this Role – Remote Community Enrolled Nurse
As one of our first Remote Community Enrolled Nurses, you will be inspired to provide high quality, culturally appropriate nursing care for patients within a remote healthcare environment across both primary and emergency healthcare, under the direct supervision of a Remote Area Nurse.
You will be motivated to consult with healthcare recipients, their families and community as well as registered nurses, midwives and other health professionals, to assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care to patients across remote South Australia.
These positions are based in Innamincka, which is located 1,174 km northeast of Adelaide. Accommodation is provided whilst on shift.
About You
You will:
- Possess current registration with APHRA as an Enrolled nurse. Your current practising certificate is without notation ‘Does not hold Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines. (Enrolled Nurses with this notation will be unable to be considered for this position).
- Basic Life Support and/or intermediate Life Support, with evidence of enrolment in - or completion of - Advanced Life Support.
- 1 year post graduate experience as an Enrolled Nurse.
- 6 months post graduate experience in a rural health facility which includes an accident and emergency department or 6 months post graduate experience in a primary care or correctional healthcare facility.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently, collaboratively and effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to demonstrate initiative, compassion, professionalism and enthusiasm.
