Western Health Medical Imaging (WHMI) is at the forefront of imaging to the patients of the West. Medical Imaging Services are provided at Footscray, Sunshine and Williamstown Hospitals covering a wide range of diagnostic and interventional multi- modality examinations. WHMI have seen exponential growth with over 190K examinations annually. Western Health is a vibrant and progressive organisation, with a focus on clinical care, teaching and research.
In partnership with the Medical Imaging management team the Chief Sonographer will provide leadership and support for the operational Ultrasound service.
You will mentor sonographers to develop high level clinical decision making, and problem solving skills to ensure a multiskilled and adaptable workforce.
You will lead our enthusiastic team of sonographers in the provision of a patient centred high quality ultrasound service.
You will have advanced leadership skills and your ultrasound skills will cover a wide range of Ultrasound examinations.
Having recently upgraded our entire fleet of Ultrasound systems you will be working with state of the art equipment covering one a diverse range of Ultrasound studies. These include Obstetrics (working in close partnership with the Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit), Gynaecology, MSK, Vascular, General, Paediatric, CEUS, and Elastography.
